The intention of this page is to create an area where all matters philosophical can be addressed.  I have a lot of opinions and thoughts I'd like to put down somewhere and this is my perfect place, because no one can interrupt me or break my concentration.  Over the years I have developed an aversion for  conversation as this is a dieing art in America, and what is rapidly replacing true conversation is a kind of social slam, where everyone tries to out-perform each other; instead of polite conversation where ideas are exchanged, expressed, considered and examined, conversations now are more monologues continually interrupting each other.  Moreover, as my years add up, I find people less willing to listen to what someone is really saying, especially if they are not shouting, are not talking fast, and are not peppering their speech with the latest and coolest phrases.  My most enjoyable conversations are with my wife, my next most enjoyable ones are with myself; those shall also appear here.  If anyone ever reads anything here they feel they have a response to, there will be other places to do so on the site, but not here.  This is MY monologue arena; not that I am anyone particularly qualified to be listened to, or  uniquely qualified to speak with any kind of authority; I do have a good mind and a unquenchable thirst for further understanding, and a mildly strong desire for truth and openness; I have a master's degree in psychology, I have a good reading background in both Eastern and Western philosophy and psychology; I'm well-read in English literature, especially poetry; I'm a student of the arts, especially painting; I am fascinated by quantum physics; I'm a backyard astronomer; I've been a musician since I was 9; I still read and write and draw and create, and now I have a place to sound off about anything I want.  You've been warned...
